Take That

I went to see Take That in the Millennium Stadium on Wednesday night - and i'm still buzzing! I think i'm doing everyone's head in with the (bad) singing...but i really don't seem to be able to help myself.

The concert was incredible. For those that don't know, Take That was the biggest group in the UK after The Beatles, but they split up 10 years ago. This come back tour? Okay so Robbie Williams didn't show, but the other guys still have enough power to achieve 65,000 fans...in my venue alone. They can still dance, they still look great - and boy can they sing! I wasn't the biggest fan of theirs...didn't know half the songs - but the atmosphere was just amazing. Especially when they made us sing the Welsh National Anthem. You can't possibly feel more patriotic than when 65,000 people break into the Anthem. *Happy sigh*

That was just to go with an already fantastic day. I love my job. Joan the Moan continuously tries to belittle me and embarrass me in front of everyone...but it's all worthwhile, when a 9 year old comes up to you with a chocolate bar and insists you have several pieces because "you're a special dinner lady". I just...chocolate aside - i couldn't have hoped for anything as nice to be said. Just thinking about it gets me emotional!

Also - happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] nakedwesley: despite the fact you're working and can't go to see Dave Matthew's, i hope you still have a fantastic day!

Hee! You're so sweet! Thanks for the birthday wishes. I plan to spend the day giving my coworker who wouldn't switch with me the cold shoulder. *g*

Glad that you enjoyed yourself Rae! And the children realise how great you are so you shouldn't be surprised! Remember free chocoloate is free chocolate.

I'm trying to post the revised stuff to [livejournal.com profile] perfume_world but it doesn't want to, so if it doesn't work I'll just send you the damn stuff via email. *is stressed*

Love,

Chat to you!

Just dropped in quickly to say: next time we meet bring over your Atlantis boxset!

Herre is the link:http://forum.gateworld.net/showthread.php?t=24740

I've been reading McKay quotes and is he so damn funny! And his interactions with Sheppard remind me of early Jack and Daniel but in more concentrated form! Shepard needs to seriously screw McKay - their love is so canon.

I think one of my favourite interactions is this one in 1x03: Hide and Seek.

SHEPPARD: I think you're gonna need a bigger boat.
McKAY (over comms): Size doesn't matter.
SHEPPARD: That's a myth.
McKAY: It'll fit.

*Coffs* Not necessarily great lines but it's the way they said it that made me think 'oh...double entendre!' My mind went there all on it's own. But yes. They both have fantastic lines, and yes: i will bring it with me :o)

Am doing the Wolfie Chronicles as i write this (well not exactly at the same time! So expect an email from me ♥)

I know this is a strange place to ask this specific quesiton but: which Bible edition do you have?

My 'The Jersulaem Bible' is in the attic (don't ask) and I would really like to have one to hand. I remember you mentioning that your Bible has references to particular texts concerning sepcific topics so I thought such an edition would be nice to have and compare with my own.

Admittedly I have two Bibles already (one the school gave us, which is too modern in respect of changing the language to the point it loses its meaning - IMO anyway. It is the 'Good News Bible'), but it never hurts to have a spare!

Could you give me advice? I would use my religious journal to enquire at the Catholic communities I belong to, but I rather not get suggestions to American versions simply because American 'English' drives me nuts - as much as I love the Yanks.

Thanks for the help Rae! And chat to you soon!

Love,

Jadwiga

I have the 'New International Version Bible' aka the NIV. It's not necessarily the edition that you need to specialise in though. The thing at the back with keys to certain topics is called a concordance and i think they do concordance versions of most Bible editions...you just need to check it's there before you buy it! (I'm going to assume your Bible has maps and conversion tables in).

Thinking about it, i think we may have a couple of 'King James' Bibles in the house as well. I know me on my little-ownsome own 5 NIV edition Bibles. (hehehe - not too many!) I think we have at least 15 in the house....

Thanks for the info! No, my Bible does not have maps or conversion tables. Little introductions to specific sections and a contents page with abbrevations but that is pretty much it.

I broached the subject to my Dad and said I should check out the the Catholic shop next to the Catherdarl in Cardiff - they will have Bible's approved by The Holy See.

15 Bibles? Wow. At least you wont ever want for one! lol Love!
