Hi! It's nice to 'meet' you! :o) Firstly - i noticed that you friended me - i hope you don't mind that i friended you back...i really enjoy meeting new people!
I'm Caardiff born and Caardif bred and am so proud and pleased to see Cardiff all over the world in such a great series. It is really cool to see the place finally get recognition isn't it? I started watching DW and TW just to be able to say 'i know where that is!' at the tv! It's kind of a shame that the assembly have chosen this specific time to give it a make-over...although construction is coming along faster than i thought it would! While i'm not Cardiff born and bred...i'm Bristol born and Barry bred (there are times when i shock myself with the 'english' that comes out of my mouth - it's not as if i even live in the rough parts of Barry - lol!)
I just love that you're a Christian slash fan! *Hangs head in shame* Slash is one of those guilty pleasures for me...i know i shouldn't be reading it, but i can't seem to help myself. I even went 3 months without reading it in an attempt to 'quit'...but it didn't last - it's very much a slippery slope for me :o)
Mind you slash is how i became a Spike fan - or more specifically a Spike/Xander fan - i stumbled across Lazuli's 'Repossession' story, and fell into the fandom! Very much looking forward to the scenes between him and Mr. Barrowman even though i'm a Jack/Ianto fan in this 'verse. And no i didn't see him at The Point...i'm usually the last person to find out these happenings and miss them! Hehehe. As for seeing John in Birmingham - i would have loved that - however, i know my mum tried to get tickets for me to see him as a christmas present, and was unsuccessful, so i assume it's all sold out. Never mind, i have to content myself with Kai Owen in the New Theatre in Jan, so it's not all bad! And as for depression...i completely understand and sypmathize. I had surgery a few years ago, and suffered from depression and panic attacks as a consequence - was on medication for them both until last christmas, when i decided enough was enough and stopped taking them (i've had ups and downs since then, but haven't had to resort back to the meds).
Anyhoo...this is turning into an essay, so have a lovely new year!
