Reading Partners

So today was my first day as a 'better reading partner' at my local primary school.
Basically...i supervise 2 children for 15 weeks, and help them with their reading and their spelling. Most parents these days don't have time every evening to listen to their children read, while doing the 15 million jobs that need doing. I know. I've watched my parents struggle to help my brothers with dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD, as well as listening to my younger sister read.
So...i get to help children! I met my 2 'charges' today. They are 8 years old, and their names are Daniel and Liam. Liam is the nephew of Steve who resigned from work a couple of weeks ago (Small world). And i love it! I have a box with my name on, and reading schemes, and dice, book sets and everything! And the boys are lovely! *Major squeeing*
I went down WHSmith to buy a notepad for progress notes and spelling lists...and i cant wait for next friday!
Oh...and all the Mckay/Sheppard stuff i've read is soooo good!
Oh, and
luthienberen, *cringes* here's the drabble i wrote for you:
Title: Angels
Rating: R?
Summary: Who would have thought i'd write anything? Let alone this pairing? For
luthienberen because she's fab.
Angels
A gasp fills the air as a tongue trails it's path over velvety skin glistening in the candlelight. Eyes close as body arches against body, desperate for contact, for relief, for something. Legs entwine and hands pull as candles flicker.
Wax drips, as a moan is heard. Fingers caress in a dance played thousands of times, but never boring. Red eyes gleam as blonde hair takes on a golden hue in the gentle light. He may look like an angel; hair splayed out over a pillow, lips swollen and wanting, but Voldemort knows; no, there are no angels in this room.
Don't hate it too much!
