According to Gateword, Don S. Davis (General Hammond) died from a heart attack on Sunday.  I was actually really shocked when i found out, because although i knew he left SG1 due to heart related issues, i guess i assumed he was doing okay now, especially since he's in the new Stargate Continuum movie.  I think i'm going to find it strange watching the film now i think...watching it and knowing that that's the last time i'm going to see him in anything.  (Like watching the new Batman film with Heath in).  He was definitely my favourite Stargate Command boss.

Anyway....

My personality type: the good-natured realist

Good-natured Realist (GR)
Good-natured Realists are warm-hearted, helpful personalities. They do their work conscientiously and have a pronounced organising talent. They often feel they are committed to traditional values. The family in particular is extremely important to Good-natured Realists. Their greatest pleasure is making themselves useful and taking care of other people. But they do not like pushing themselves to the fore; they prefer to fulfil their tasks out of the limelight. Good-natured Realists are real workaholics; they are very reliable and nothing is too much for them when it is a question of completing a project. Thoroughness, conscientiousness and sense of duty are their strongest points. They prefer established and familiar situations to new and unknown situations.

In dealing with others, Good-natured Realists are considerate and obliging; they are always happy to put aside their own requirements in the interest of their family and friends. Their home is mostly very well cared-for, cosy and tidy. Their perfectionism on the one hand and their aversion to delegating tasks on the other hand often lead to them taking on too much both professionally and privately. They cannot stand discord; conflicts make them very unhappy. One could almost describe them as being harmony-addicted - and this sometimes leads them to strongly neglecting themselves and their own wishes because they are unable to bring themselves to put up a fight.

Good-natured Realists dream of a stable and trusting relationship for life. Marriage and family are very important to them. They take care of their partner attentively and lovingly and put up with a lot for a harmonious relationship. They are also loyal and reliable friends. However, they can be very hurt if their interpersonal commitment is taken for granted for too long.

Unrelated to your post: I forgot to say in my email that yes, we would be watching DVDs when you come over. We have plenty t choose from (and let's make sure we don't end up watching a horror movie - unless it's a comedy!)

As for the quiz...you're right. It is scarily accurate.

Me no likey horror *shudders*.

Speaking of forgetting - i wanted to ask you if you'd read the third Temeraire book, and if you had, whether you wanted to borrow the fourth one? If you haven't read it, i wouldn't recommend reading the fourth one, as it's initially confusing without it (i tried, gave up, borrowed the third from the library, tried again, couldn't put it down). I'm only asking, as i've just had an email from Amazon letting me know the fifth one is on the way to me now...a week before UK release date! (because....book the fourth? Cliff-hanger ending!! I couldn't wait until Christmas. No way.)

The only horror film I can re-watch is 'The Wolf Man' - from 1941 or something lol! No gore but plenty of suspense which doesn't leave me truamitised.

I haven't read the third Temeraire book yet, I didn't realise they had it in the library. In which section? Because I obivously have to borrow the novel after your comments!

(Oh, and do you mind if I send New Life Parts 8 & 9 to you in Arial font? It's just that with the new resolution Times New Roman is far too small for me to read for the long chapters I write - and size 14 just drives me crazy. Consequently, I'm using size 12 Arial for the latest two chapters. I've almost finished, I'm stuck on Part 9, trying to decide whether it requires an extra scene or not. Arrragh.)

It's not like a cliff-hanger where you go 'noooooo!'.....it's more of a frantic turning to the next page and going 'why? Please don't be leaving it there!' cliff-hanger. lol.

Where i found the book was upstairs in the Sci-Fi section...you probably couldn't find it because i had it for *ahem* a while. I finally returned it Monday...so when you DO find it, you will see my writing in the check out dates. (Is it sad i like opening library books and going 'hey look! i wrote that date! ?) I've ordered the third one from Play now....but it's out of stock...so who knows when i'll actually get it (I'm still waiting on one Torchwood book) But would you like me to bring the fourth one anyway, or would you rather borrow it from the library? I know they had the fourth one there on Monday, because B likes to sit and read books for a while when she's there, and i couldn't find an interesting book to read while i waited, so i picked up that in the hope that there were a few extra pages. There weren't. But book the fifth arrived in the post this morning so it's all going to be okay now. :o)

As for font - as a standard, i write in Arial size 10 anyway...it's my font of choice so i definitely have no problems with it!

Darn spelling mistakes.

No thank you - I probably won't be able to borrow and finish book 3 by Tuesday. Thanks for telling me where to look so I know where to find out what happens!

Out of stock is annoying as you can never tell if/when they'll restock the item you want. *sigh* Yay for the fifth book arriving though! *g*
